Dear Citizens,

In times of struggle, confusion, and division which seem all too familiar, it is easy to lose sight of the inherent truths and sacred qualities of our being, like humility and joy. We often find ourselves obsessing over the things that are not working, degrading ourselves, and blaming others and our fellow citizens in the process. Yet, amidst the turmoil, there exists a fundamental aspect of our nature that we must not overlook—our joyous, innocent, and appreciative essence.

Let us take a moment to acknowledge the inherent truth of ourselves. At our core, we are beings of joy and primal innocence. Think of a child’s laughter, the pure delight in simple pleasures, and the natural curiosity that drives exploration and learning. These qualities are not lost with age; they are intrinsic parts of our being, waiting to be rediscovered and embraced; yet, seemingly veiled by attachment to coping mechanisms, cultural patterns, and unattended sorrow.

Consider the times when you have felt a spontaneous sense of joy. It could be a moment of connection with a loved one, the beauty of a sunset, or the satisfaction of a job well done. These moments remind us of our capacity for happiness and fulfillment, always here now. They are not rare occurrences but reflections of our true nature readily available, often buried under layers of worry, stress, and negativity.

Our society often emphasizes what is wrong—what needs fixing. While it is important to address challenges, we must not let this focus eclipse our ability to see, BE, embrace, and celebrate our ever-present wholeness and worthiness. When we constantly dwell on the negative, we reinforce a cycle of dissatisfaction and division. Instead, let us open our minds and hearts, and shift our perspective to one of appreciation and acknowledgment of both our inner and our collective potential.

Throughout history, there have been countless examples of human resilience, kindness, and cooperation. During natural disasters, we witness communities coming together, strangers helping strangers, and a surge of oneness and loving community that transcends boundaries. In our daily lives, acts of kindness, no matter how small, remind us of our shared humanity and capacity for love and compassionate understanding.

Forgiveness is another powerful testament to our inherent goodness. When we forgive unconditionally, we release ourselves from the burdens of anger and resentment. It is a profound act of self-liberation that also fosters healing and reconciliation. Consider the transformative power of forgiveness in personal relationships, where letting go of past grievances pave the way for renewed connections, friendships, and deeper understanding.

Acceptance, too, plays a crucial role in our journey towards unity and joy. By unconditionally accepting ourselves and others as we are, without judgment or comparison, we create an environment of inclusivity and support – true love. This acceptance nurtures our inherent potential, allowing us to thrive individually and collectively as one inseparable universal consciousness.

As we navigate the complexities of our times, let us remember that our greatest strength lies in our ability to love and appreciate our natural sacred qualities and one another. Our potential for inner transformation and positive change is limitless when we tap into our innate qualities of joy, innocence, and appreciation.

This speech serves as a fundamental acknowledgment and foundation of our all-inclusive potential and loving possibilities always available. As we move into forthcoming discussions, let us root our attention in the loving wholeness of our being, since we will be addressing deeply challenging aspects and uncomfortable habits of ourselves and our country that often pull us into the abyss of negativity and blame. However, once more, let us uplift our spirits and reaffirm our inherent understanding in the inherent goodness of human consciousness. We are already whole, complete, enough, worthy. Let that be our unshakable foundation.

As we move on, let us always be celebrating our shared humanity, our capacity for joy, and our potential for loving one another as our very self.

Sincerely and Compassionately,

Peace President

Are We really Fooling Ourselves? https://blog.peacepresidentunited.org/are-we-really-fooling-ourselves/ Wed, 14 Sep 2022 21:11:44 +0000 https://blog.peacepresidentunited.org/?p=26 Are We Really Fooling Ourselves?

An Honest Look at Change and Transformation

Transformation begins with the one in the mirror.

Dear All Citizens of Earth, Brothers and Sisters of Humanity, Human Consciousness,

I must share with you yet another irony of trying to make the world a better place by imposing force and demanding others to change for you or your cause. For the last several years, I have spoken on the topic of social change, inner transformation, and self realization; and regardless to whom I am speaking, what almost always inevitably arises is great resistance to taking a look within. Of course, I am ‘personally’ familiar with resistance and denial mind creates as excuses – along with practically any rationalization to stay identified as behavioral patterns and thought habits no longer serving overall wellbeing. The point it this: Virtually everyone is demanding change on some level YET almost everyone is opposed to honestly coming to terms with the necessary inner transformation within themselves – to actualize and live that change. In other words, we are afraid to realize that our very limited perspectives we hold of ourselves are creating the troublesome external world we are complaining about and seeking to change.

It does not quite make sense to ask others to stop judging when we are constantly judging…does it? I can almost hear a universal denial to that last statement, “I don’t judge” or “I’m not a judgmental person” and so on. Yet, somehow, we continue judging ourselves in many ways, unknowingly, THEN demanding others change so we can be happy and the world becomes a better place. What if the reality is this: We must start with ourselves, first and foremost. You know, this phrase:

I must start with the one in the mirror.

Transformation begins with the one in the mirror.

And, if we are in denial of that fact, then we most likely need to ask for help in one way or another to overcome our resistance towards reconnecting, feeling, healing, integrating, and awakening – opening to deeper dimensions of self honesty.

Although it appears we deny and ignore our own intuition the majority of the time, most of us naturally understand the change we often talk about being necessary to manifest a peaceful and joyous world MUST come from inner transformation – NOT from Human-Made external laws invoked by force, manipulation, greed, violence, negotiations, or coercion. Furthermore, somehow as Universal Consciousness, we sense inner transformation is a fundamental aspect of the Sacred Wisdom we are born with. Yet, again, we struggle with opening our hearts and minds to guidance, because in a way, we may be taking the possibility to free ourselves from the prison of our mind as another governmental OR religious ‘thing’ being imposed upon us. Practically speaking, here is another assertion most everyone can relate:

Deep down, no one likes to be told what to do or not do, how to think, how to act, what to believe, how to live our lives, and express ourselves.

Your intuition is more trustworthy than thinking-mind.

And, collectively speaking, it really seems as if Human Consciousness is sick and tired of living in such a deeply oppressive world where ongoing self reinforced learned oppression is socially acceptable and handed down generation after generation. Part of our learned oppression is that we naively seek liberation by continually acting out self judgment as a result of repressing feelings, thoughts, and emotions – mostly through denial, self neglect, and various other self oppressive patterns, and self punishment.
